[още]Apartamentos Madrid Centro (1) is a private apartment in a great location of Madrid, in the Malasaña neighbourhood, just a short metro ride or a longer walk to some of the city’s major attractions, such as the Prado, Reina Sofía and Thysen-Bornemisza museums. The Puerta del Sol city centre, or Kilometre Zero, is nearby as is the Plaza Mayor where long ago there were bullfights and executions by decree of the inquisition, and a considerably less bloody fresh produce market. Today people congregate here to relax in the sun and people watch from the sunny outdoor cafes. In the nearby Plaza España, see a flamenco show at Las Tablas, Plaza España, 9 (www.lastablasmadrid.com).This apartment is in a great area for tapas, and isn’t as crowded as the popular Plaza Santa Ana area near Puerta del Sol. La Taberna de San Bernardo on C / San Bernardo, 85 has great eggs, potatoes and succulent solomillo (pork cutlet). La Musa C / Manuela Malasaña, 18 offers fantastic affordable tapas including wild boar (jabalí) and their famous bombas (potato and meat tapa)- be sure to order what’s recommended for the day.The apartment is also just a few minutes from Calle Preciados, Madrid’s most important shopping street, near Callao and Plaza España.Situated on the first floor of an early 20th century building, the apartment has been recently refurbished with all new household appliances. Decorated in earthy tones, with modern, comfortable furniture, and high ceilings, the apartment is extremely well-maintained by the owner.Upon arrival, we shall sign the contract and at that point you shall pay the balance (indicated in your booking confirmation) in advance plus other 50 euros as a security deposit. Payment shall be in cash. The deposit shall be returned to you upon departure, when you return the keys and the departure inspection is completed.
