Ideal for taking in the atmosphere of the city, the apartment is located in a lively district full of shops and museums, bars and restaurants, theatres and cinemas. Just 10 minutes walk to the opulent Royal Palaca and Almudena Cathedral. King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia have decided against living at the palace because, supposedly, by the time dinner arrives at the table it’s already ice cold. Visit some 50 of the 2,800 rooms of the palace including the Royal Pharmacy. The Cathedral next door sometimes has live organ performances of Bach for free on Sunday evenings. You are also close to the Plaza Cibeles where the beautiful post office building is located and Real Madrid fans (and sometimes the team itself) take a dip in the fountain after big wins. The Puerta de Alcalá and El Retiro Park are just up from this Plaza as is the Salamanca neighbourhood, known for its upmarket shopping on the C / Serrano. Sol metro station (lines 1, 2 and 3) is very close to the apartment. This small, but absolutely charming studio apartment is ideal for couples or a small group of friends up to 4 persons. It has been renovated and furnished in a modern style. There is a living room with 1 double sofa bed, 2 single sofa beds, a table and four chairs; a fully equipped semi-independent kitchen with refrigerator, microwave oven, washing machine and clothes dryer and iron; and a bathroom with a shower.
